Hoxton Square | 201
Hackney, London, UK, 2002
Feasibility study for a small site in Hoxton Square, a garden square in Hoxton, Hackney, in London's East End. Laid out in 1683, it is considered one of the oldest squares in London. At one time home to industrial premises, since the 1990s, it has become the heart of the Hoxton arts and media scene and a hub for the thriving local entertainment district. The proposal sought to develop this empty site into a mixed-use development of retail and residential apartments.
