Description

This planning application is for the corner site at the intersection of Victoria Road, Lavender Way and Oughton Head Way, Hitchin.
The proposal is for seven residential units to replace the two existing, partially demolished residences. The site has recently been subdivided with terrace houses constructed on the western section of the property.
The design has evolved as a result of careful analysis of both the site and the surrounding buildings, and in response to the vistas from the site across the park towards the town. It also responds to the comments made during the pre-planning consultation with the council.
This development provides much needed housing in a form that responds to the nature of modern living. The report describes each aspect of the approach taken in detail.
